What is the SNR / NRR for the GS Extreme 2.0?
The GS Extreme 2.0 offers different levels of hearing protection depending on the ear tips used:
Max Protect Foam Tips
SNR: 29 dB
NRR: 23 dB
Recommended for shooting, indoor ranges, and high-impact noise.
General Foam Tips
SNR: 29 dB
NRR: 23 dB
Provides the same level of hearing protection as Max Protect Foam with a slightly different fit preference.
Silicone Tips
SNR: 27 dB
NRR: 19 dB
Ideal for general hearing, music, and everyday use where comfort and awareness are prioritized.
The GS Extreme 2.0 is ANSI-approved and OSHA-compliant when used with the appropriate ear tips.

Is the GS Extreme 2.0 rated as Intrinsically Safe?
No, the GS Extreme 2.0 is not currently rated as intrinsically safe.
What does “intrinsically safe” mean?
A device that is termed intrinsically safe is designed to be incapable of producing enough heat or spark to ignite an explosive atmosphere, even if the device is damaged or has deteriorated.
The GS Extreme 2.0 has not been submitted for intrinsically safe testing at this time, but this is something that is on our product roadmap for future consideration.
Has the GS Extreme 2.0 passed EMF testing?
Yes.
